Tiffany and Co. Boutique opening in Venice
Tiffany and Co. unveils its first store in Venice.

Tiffany & Co. has celebrated the opening of a 238-square-metre store at Calle Vallaresso, near the historic Piazza San Marco. The store is Tiffany’s first in Venice and ninth in Italy.

The glamorous crowd, which included Bianca, Viola and Vera Arrivabene, Augusto and Tana Ruffo di Calabria, Scilla Ruffo di Calabria, Luisa Beccaria, Lucilla and Lucrezia Bonaccorsi, Costanza della Gherardesca, Sofia Cacciapaglia, Madina Visconti di Modrone, Piergiorgio and Franca Coin among others enjoyed a night dedicated to the lights of Venice and the brilliance of diamonds.

For the new Venice location, Tiffany’s architects and designers created a modern store environment embellished with archival motifs. The façade is finished with Art Deco-style details and a wheat leaf pattern etched in Tiffany Blue glass, which distinguishes the façade of the Fifth Avenue flagship store. The jewelry and private sales salons are seamlessly designed with walls of cream velvet surrounding stainless steel display cases, panels of wisteria in white gold, and magnolias blossoming in gold sconces by New York artist Michele Oka Doner. These floral patterns are inspired by the stained glass masterworks of Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848–1932), son of the company’s founder and a legendary artist and designer. As part of Tiffany & Co.’s commitment to sustainability, the entire store – including caseline, vitrines, and back-of-house – is illuminated with energy efficient LEDs.
